We're confident in the quality of QRCodeKey. If you're not satisfied with your purchase within the first 7 days, we'll refund your money in full, no questions asked.

Refund Eligibility

✓ Eligible for Refund:

  • • Initial subscription purchases (first-time payment)
  • • Subscription renewal payments made within 7 days of previous period
  • • Requests made within 7 calendar days of payment
  • • Any paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Business)
  • • Subscriptions canceled within the 7-day window

✗ Not Eligible for Refund:

  • • Free plan accounts
  • • Refund requests made after 7 days
  • • Recurring charges after the initial 7-day period
  • • Payments made through unauthorized third parties
  • • Subscriptions that were modified or upgraded during the 7-day period
  • • Chargeback disputes (account will be terminated)
  • • Payments that violate our Terms of Service

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Step 1: Go to your Profile settings
  2. Step 2: Click on "Subscription" or "Billing"
  3. Step 3: Select "Request Refund" and provide a reason (optional but helpful)
  4. Step 4: Confirm your refund request
  5. Step 5: You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours

  • • Your account email
  • • Order ID (found in your payment confirmation)
  • • Reason for refund (optional)

Refund Processing

Timeline:

  • Request Review: 24-48 hours
  • Approval Decision: 2-3 business days
  • Refund Initiation: 1-2 business days after approval
  • Refund Appears in Account: 5-7 business days (depending on your bank)

Refund Method:

Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method (credit card, debit card, or digital wallet). Processing times depend on your financial institution. International transactions may take longer.

Account Status:

Once a refund is approved, your subscription will be immediately downgraded to the Free plan. You will not be charged again unless you manually re-subscribe.

Important Notes

• No Refunds for Recurring Charges: The 7-day guarantee applies only to the initial payment. Subscription renewals are non-refundable, but you can cancel your subscription anytime to prevent future charges.

• Refund Does Not Include Taxes/Fees (US): For US customers, refunds cover the subscription amount only. Taxes, transaction fees, or payment processing fees may be non-refundable. For EU/EEA, UK, Australia, and other jurisdictions where law requires: refunds will include all amounts paid, including applicable taxes, as required by local consumer protection laws.

• Data Retention: After a refund, your account will be downgraded to Free plan. Your QR codes and data will be retained, but you'll have limited features (Free plan limits apply).

• Chargebacks: Filing a chargeback instead of requesting a refund will result in permanent account termination and forfeiture of all data.

Repeated Refund Requests

If you make multiple refund requests within a short period, we may:

  • • Decline the refund request and suggest a free trial period instead
  • • Restrict your ability to purchase premium plans in the future
  • • Ask you to provide feedback on service improvements
  • • Offer an alternative plan or discount

Special Circumstances

Service Issues:

If you experienced technical issues preventing you from using the service, we may extend the refund window beyond 7 days. Please contact support with details.

Billing Errors:

If you were charged incorrectly (duplicate charges, unauthorized charges), we will refund immediately and investigate the cause.

Free Trial to Paid Conversion:

If you used a free trial and were automatically charged after it ended, you have 7 days from the charge date to request a refund.

EU/EEA/UK: 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 calendar days of purchase without giving any reason, as provided by the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • Withdrawal Period: 14 calendar days from the date of purchase.
  • How to Withdraw: Inform us of your decision by a clear statement via email to info@qrcodekey.com, including your name, email, order ID, and a statement that you wish to withdraw.
  • Refund Amount: We will reimburse all payments received from you, including applicable taxes, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your withdrawal.
  • Refund Method: The refund will be made using the same means of payment used for the original transaction.
  • Exception: If you expressly consented to the service beginning during the withdrawal period and acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed, you may lose part or all of your withdrawal right proportional to the service already provided.

This 14-day right of withdrawal is in addition to our standard 7-day money-back guarantee and provides greater protection for EU/EEA/UK consumers.

International Refund Rights

Australia

Under the Australian Consumer Law, consumers have rights to a remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) when a service fails to meet consumer guarantees. These rights apply regardless of our stated refund policy and cannot be excluded.

Canada

Canadian consumers may have additional refund rights under provincial consumer protection legislation. These statutory rights apply in addition to our refund policy.

Brazil

Under the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (CDC), consumers who purchase online may exercise the right of withdrawal within 7 days of the contract or delivery of the product/service (Article 49). Full refund will be provided, including any amounts charged.

New Zealand

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, consumers have the right to a remedy when a service fails to meet guaranteed standards. These rights cannot be contracted away.

India

(Status: planned market — applies upon official India launch.) Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, Indian consumers have statutory rights to return and refund for deficient services. In addition to our standard 7-day money-back guarantee, Indian consumers may approach the District / State / National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission for grievance redressal. Our Grievance Officer (see Section 28 of the Terms) is the first point of contact: info@qrcodekey.com. Refunds to Indian payment methods will be issued in the original currency (USD until INR pricing is launched), with applicable GST refunded proportionally on a GST-compliant credit note.

Currency Conversion

All prices are charged in US Dollars (USD). For international refunds, the refund will be issued in USD to the original payment method. Any differences in the refund amount due to currency exchange rate fluctuations between the time of purchase and refund are determined by your payment provider or bank. QRCodeKey is not responsible for exchange rate differences or any currency conversion fees charged by your bank or payment provider.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit or exclude any statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the applicable laws of your jurisdiction. Where local law provides greater protection than stated here, the local law shall prevail.
